SGT. Sean MacDermott presented the employees of Printing Partners with an American flag in recognition of their support to his unit during its deployment to Kandahar, Afghanistan.

MacDermott is a CH-47 Chinook helicopter Flight Engineer for the Army National Guard Bravo Company 2/238th unit that was attached to the 1st Infantry Division 2nd Brigade 1st Battalion TF Fighting Eagle. The unit spent nine months in Afghanistan transporting passengers and cargo.

In September, the employees and owners of Printing Partners came together to compile a care package worth more than $1,000 to send overseas.  Aside from a package sent by the USO, the Printing Partners care package was the largest received during the unit’s tour.

The flag was presented along with a plaque that reads:

This American flag is dedicated to:
Printing Partners

On behalf of Bravo Company 2/238th TF Fighting Eagle – while deployed to FOB Kandahar, Afghanistan, in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.

This flag was flown 3 September 2013 on Chinook 90-00226 during the final NATO Australia-United States joint battlefield circulation mission from Kandahar Air Field, Afghanistan. This flag symbolizes the strength of our nation and the determination of combined NATO efforts to win The Global War on Terrorism. It is presented to you in recognition of your generous support to our unit while deployed.

Printing Partners not only supported MacDermott’s unit while overseas, but also assisted in surprising his wife, Mallory, upon his return home.
