Pantone has added 366 new colors in all color families to include a wider variety of values, saturation and undertones — from subtle pastels and reliable mid-tones to the intensity of deep tomes, vivid brights and vital, nuanced neutrals. This brings Pantones current color palette to 1,677 colors.
The new colors will be complimentary to the PLUS SERIES libraries of metallics, neons, pastels and process colors. These new colors are also compatible with digital workflows.
The new colors will be added to the current color books and will be available by the end of June 2012. There will be updates available for all Adobe and Quark products to include the new color offerings. In early June the colors will be added to the myPANTONE 2.0 for the iPhone and myPANTONE for Android apps, the upgrade will be free for existing users.
