Printing Partners has been named to The BCA 10: Best Companies Supporting the Arts in America for 2011. The Indianapolis School of Ballet nominated Printing Partners because of our effort to make the arts accessible to schools and new audiences.
The Business Committee for the Arts is a division of Americans for the Arts, which is the nation’s leading nonprofit organization for advancing the arts in America. Americans for the Arts is dedicated to representing and serving local communities and creating opportunities for every American to participate in and appreciate all forms of the arts.
Printing Partners has a long history of arts support and we have been a sponsor of the Indianapolis School of Ballet’s Nutcracker for the last two years. This year as part of our sponsorship we arranged for Girl Scouts to attend a preview performance. Mike Hehmann, one of our salespeople, attended with his family and he praised the performance. “It was a great family event and the students were excellent. It was impossible to tell the students from the professional dancers. And the sets were incredible.”
Printing Partners has worked with other arts organization including the Indiana Repertory Theatre to sponsor events and encourage audience development. This season our Partners Night at the IRT sold more than 800 tickets to people who might not have attended otherwise. Mindy Delp, a Printing Partners employee, attended a performance and the woman in front of her said, “Would you believe I paid $10 for my ticket? I could not have attended if it weren’t for Partners Night.”
As the season sponsor for the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra’s Printing Partners Pops, we offer clients the opportunity to attend Pops performances as well as performances of Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra’s Marsh Symphony on the Prairie. Recently we became the official printer of the Center for the Performing Arts, an agreement that includes a major sponsorship every year for three years.
Printing Partners’ support for the arts stems from our belief that the arts are an important part of educating and developing people. But it is also an excellent business development tool. A client once called and remarked, “We are strong supporters of the IRT as are you. We need to be doing business with you.”
Printing Partners is honored to receive this national recognition. The award reflects the satisfaction that we get from working with all of our arts clients.
