As printing professionals, we are in a position to help our clients make responsible environmental choices when choosing printing processes and materials. In June of 2009, Printing Partners was proud to complete three chain of custody certifications that illustrate our commitment to the practice of responsible forestry and paper purchasing practices. With each certification, there is an extensive audit process that tracks the origin of the sustainable wood products being used, as well as additional practices to protect water quality, biodiversity, and wildlife habitats. We offer the ability to add these certifications and applicable logos, at no additional cost to our client’s projects.
These organizations are:
- FSC ( Forest Sustainability Council) – www.fsc.org
- SFI (Sustainable Forestry Initiative) – www.sfiprogram.org
- PFEC (Program for the Endorsement of Forest Certification) – www.pefc.org
The most recognizable and widely used internationally is FSC. Established in 1993 by progressive forestry leadership, along with leading social groups and environmental organizations, the FSC was formed to improve responsible forestry world-wide. Today, FSC certifies over 100 million acres in over 50 countries.
Along with our partners at Neenah Paper, we would like to invite you to learn with us at a FREE ONLINE PRESENTATION by FSC, on February 23rd at 11:00.
